I am a committed Legal Advocate and a Certified Sexual Assault Advocate for The Hays-Caldwell Women's Center. My mission is to learn and understand my clients' needs and the external factors affecting them so that I can aggressively and professionally represent them throughout the legal process. I clearly communicate my legal knowledge and experience, thereby enabling my clients to make well-informed decisions for themselves. I will do everything in my power to ensure that my clients receive the most positive experience possible. I have experience dealing with Fraud, Domestic Violence, Capital Murder, Protective Orders (MOEP, EPO, TEXPO), Sexual Assault, Divorce, Child Custody, Paternity tests, Immigration (INS), Taxes (IRS), Crime Victims Compensation, Child Protective Services, The Department of Motor Vehicles, cataloging evidence. Organizations I've worked with: Hays-Caldwell Women's Center, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aide, Texas Advocacy Project, LASSA (Legal Assistance for Survivors of Sexual Assault), Various Police departments, The District Attorney, The Office of the Attorney General,

HCWC's goals and objectives are to support and counsel women and children in domestic abuse situations and victims of sexual assault, to help them become independent from the abusers through education and counseling, to support and aid survivors of sexual assault and to offer resources to abused children. HCWC works to achieve these goals by offering: shelter, advocacy, hospital accompaniment, counseling, helpline, parents' classes, children's center, child witness to domestic violence, and public education. Legal Advocates attend hearings with clients to inform clients about the process, act as a form of support, process the outcome of the hearing afterward, and help with a safety plan, since abusers often isolate their victims from family and friends so that the victim has virtually no support
